Unobtainable Project
One of the ideas our group had was to use augmented reality to bring fantastic and imaginary images into the user's environment in a way that feels real. For example, if you had a room the participant stands in with a mirror, you could use a projector to place objects in the reflection that weren't actually there. In this example, a baseball player is projected on top of his card. All you see when you look at your hand is a card, but if you were to look into the mirror, you would see that baseball player standing in your hand. The same principal could be applied to surfaces in a room. A flat table in reality could be filled with a thanksgiving dinner, or an empty bowl could have a miniature pirate ship battle raging inside. The biggest limitation I can see with this is the user would have to have the camera on their head to keep the projections in the right place.
